Fiber Technician – Utawala Net

Role Objective

Maintain reliable fiber connectivity by installing customer connections, troubleshooting network faults and performing preventive and corrective fiber maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

Install and maintain fiber connections for customers.

Troubleshoot and resolve fiber network faults.

Perform fiber splicing and termination when required.

Conduct testing and preventive maintenance on network infrastructure.

Respond to customer technical complaints and connectivity issues.

Follow approved technical and safety procedures.

Document completed installations, repairs and maintenance activities.

Qualifications & Experience

Previous fiber optic or FTTH experience is preferred.

Practical knowledge of fiber installation and troubleshooting.

Ability to perform basic fiber testing and splicing.

Good technical and customer service skills.

Ability to work in field environments.
