Senior Financial Controller

AKROPOLIS GROUP is the leading shopping and entertainment centre development and management company in the Baltics. Our portfolio includes five flagship centres: AKROPOLIS in Vilnius, Klaipėda and Šiauliai (Lithuania), and AKROPOLE Riga and AKROPOLE Alfa (Latvia).

We are looking for a Senior Financial Controller to take a key role in the Group’s financial reporting, consolidation and accounting processes across Lithuania and Latvia.

Key responsibilities

Preparation of the Group’s and individual companies’ financial statements, including annual and interim, separate and consolidated financial statements, in accordance with IFRS; Coordination of the Group consolidation process, preparation and improvement of Group Reporting Packages (GRP); Calculation and monitoring of financial covenants and ensuring compliance with covenant requirements; Coordination of the annual audit process, cooperation with external auditors and preparation of materials for the Audit Committee; Oversight of accounting across the Group’s Lithuanian and Latvian entities and advising the accounting team on accounting methodology and IFRS treatment matters; Coordination of tax matters and monitoring relevant changes in legislation; Oversight of intercompany transactions and settlements; Oversight of the debt control process; Documentation, improvement and automation of finance and reporting processes.

What we expect

University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field; At least 2 years of experience in financial reporting, audit or financial control; experience in an international audit firm would be considered an advantage; Good knowledge of IFRS and experience in consolidation; experience with IFRS 16 would be an advantage; Good understanding of tax principles and requirements; ACCA studies in progress or an ACCA qualification would be considered an advantage; Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and a high level of responsibility; Ability to plan and manage tasks independently and meet financial reporting and audit deadlines; Very good MS Excel skills; Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central would be an advantage; Fluency in Lithuanian and English.

Salary 4,500 – 5,500 €/mon. gross. The final salary will depend on the candidate’s work experience and competencies.
