PAINTER WORK LEADER

You will serve as a PAINTER WORK LEADER in the Corrosion Control Division of SOUTHWEST REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CENTER.

Major duties

• You will interpret instructions from the supervisor and plan the product line workload based on the employee’s availability and capability.
• You will be responsible for shop safety and keeping acceptable housekeeping habits in all immediate work areas, work spaces, tools, parts and equipment and shall be kept clean and orderly at all times.
• You will report the status and progress of all work to the supervisor, notifies the supervisor of the causes and potential impact of work delays.
• You will take the appropriate action to ensure quality and technical authority requirements are being met in the event of non-compliance discovery.
• You will document daily paint and solvent uses to ensure the shop remains in compliance with the San Diego Air Pollution Control Division (APCD) and present these documents during inspections.
• You will work with the general supply specialist to ensure the employees have the materials to come jobs safely and efficiently.

Qualifications
