Project planning and scheduling — developing timelines, work sequences, and resource plans to ensure the project stays on track from groundbreaking to completion. Budget and cost control — preparing estimates, tracking expenditures, managing change orders, and ensuring the project stays within the approved budget. Coordinating contractors and subcontractors — hiring, supervising, and coordinating the work of various trades (electricians, plumbers, masons, etc.) to keep work flowing smoothly and avoid conflicts on site. Ensuring safety and regulatory compliance — enforcing site safety protocols, ensuring compliance with building codes, permits, and occupational health and safety regulations. Quality control and inspections — monitoring workmanship and materials against specifications and standards, conducting inspections, and addressing defects or non-conformance. Communication and stakeholder management — acting as the main point of contact between the client, architects, engineers, government agencies, and the site team, providing regular progress reports and resolving disputes or issues as they arise.
