Power System EMT Specialist

Keeping the Netherlands powered, that is our mission. As a Power System EMT Specialist, you help ensure that the electricity grid remains future-proof. Together with your team, you work on complex Electromagnetic Transients and Insulation Coordination challenges that contribute to a stable, secure and sustainable energy system.

Your profile and background

At TenneT, we are looking for professionals who contribute to an effective and future-proof organisation. We expect you to bring the right experience and expertise to make a valuable contribution to our team and our mission.

Therefore, we ask that you have:

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience within the power systems sector.
• Strong expertise in electromagnetic transients (EMT) and insulation coordination in power systems.
• Proven record in performing transient studies and analyzing the impact to the high and extra-high voltage electricity grid
• Experience in conducting, reviewing, and interpreting complex technical studies.
• Solid understanding of power system planning and electricity network behaviour.
• Experience with PSCAD and DIgSILENT PowerFactory.
• Experience with EMTP-ATP or EMTP-RV is considered an advantage.
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken. Dutch language skills are considered an advantage.
