Operations Supervisor

Salary: S$3,500 – S$5,000 Location: Tuas, Singapore Employment: Full-Time

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate employees across different departments, including operations, warehouse, administration and production/support functions.
• Manage staff deployment, daily manpower allocation and work priorities.
• Monitor employee performance, discipline, attendance, productivity and quality of work.
• Assess staff performance and make recommendations on confirmation, retention, reassignment, improvement or termination.
• Assist management with recruitment, interviewing and selection of new employees.
• Train, guide and supervise new and existing employees.
• Ensure employees follow company SOPs, policies, deadlines and management instructions.
• Resolve day-to-day staff and interdepartmental issues.
• Coordinate between departments to ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule.
• Identify manpower shortages, operational problems and areas requiring improvement.
• Implement process and workflow improvements.
• Make routine operational and administrative decisions independently within assigned authority.
• Escalate significant manpower, financial or operational matters to management.
• Prepare staff performance, operational and management reports.
• Support management in planning, cost control and overall company operations.
• Take ownership of assigned projects and follow through until completion.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant supervisory, operations, administration or management experience.
• Strong people-management and leadership skills.
• Able to supervise employees from different departments and backgrounds.
• Confident in making decisions and handling difficult staff situations.
• Good organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on and willing to be involved in daily operations when required.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable working in an SME environment where responsibilities may cover multiple functions.
• Candidates with experience in manufacturing, logistics, engineering or similar operational environments will have an advantage.
