CNC (computer numerically controlled) machining centre operator

Tasks:
- Operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations.
- Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
- Prepare etching solution and immerse metal parts or workpiece into the etching solution to remove unwanted portions.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.
- Enter codes specifying speed, feed and cut of the toolpath for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools.
- Clean and maintain work space.
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses :
- Machinist Trade Certification.
- Forklift Operator Certification.
- Overhead Crane Certification.
Equipment and machinery experience:
- Boring machines.
- Milling machines.
- Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines.
Repetitive machining operation experience:

- Attention to detail.
- Hand-eye co-ordination.
- Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
