Homelessness Prevention & Solutions Officer

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Homelessness Prevention & Solutions Officer for a local authority in Northwest London.

In this role, you will work with households facing housing crisis to prevent homelessness, provide expert housing advice, and find safe, sustainable accommodation solutions.

Duties:

• Conduct homelessness assessments and develop Personalised Housing Plans.
• Prevent homelessness by negotiating with landlords and other stakeholders.
• Identify and secure suitable housing solutions, including private rented accommodation.
• Support vulnerable households to sustain tenancies and resolve complex housing issues.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience conducting homelessness assessments and managing complex housing cases.
• Experience advising vulnerable customers on housing, welfare and homelessness options.
• Experience negotiating with landlords and stakeholders to prevent homelessness.
• Experience applying homelessness legislation, case law and statutory guidance.

What's on offer:

• Salary: £27ph
• *may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
• Contract type: 5-6 months minimum
• Hours: 35 hours per week
