Market Risk Senior Analyst- LNG

We are working with a rapidly growing LNG trading and shipping business to appoint a Senior Associate within its London-based Risk & Middle Office team. Senior Associate - LNG Market Risk & Middle Office We are working with a rapidly growing LNG trading and shipping business to appoint a Senior Associate within its London-based Risk & Middle Office team. This is a broad, commercially focused market-risk position supporting an expanding physical LNG and derivatives portfolio. The successful candidate will combine strong LNG market-risk expertise with the ability to enhance frameworks, controls, reporting and risk-system capability within a fast-scaling trading environment. Key responsibilities Produce, analyse and explain daily risk P&L and key market drivers

Monitor LNG exposures, hedging activity and risk-limit utilisation

Independently validate forward curves and portfolio valuations

Review physical and financial transactions from a market-risk perspective

Support hedging across LNG, freight, bunker fuel, FX and EU ETS

Develop VaR, stress-testing, scenario analysis and management reporting

Improve market-risk controls, dashboards, processes and ETRM functionality

Partner closely with Trading, Chartering, Finance, Legal and IT

Provide guidance to junior team members and act as senior team cover where required

Candidate profile At least five years' market-risk experience within LNG or wider energy trading

Strong understanding of physical LNG trading, P&L, VaR, exposure and limit monitoring

Experience with OTC and exchange-traded energy derivatives

Ability to work independently, challenge front office constructively and operate in a non-siloed environment

Exposure to LNG freight, bunker fuel, EUA/EU ETS, EMIR or REMIT would be advantageous

Previous experience enhancing risk frameworks, controls, reporting or ETRM platforms is highly desirable
