The Role

As a Recycling Centre Operative, you'll be the face of the site, helping customers recycle responsibly while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist members of the public with waste and recycling enquiries.
• Guide customers on the correct disposal and recycling of materials.
• Check permits, process payments, and maintain accurate records.
• Help keep the site clean, organised, and safe at all times.
• Support recycling initiatives by reducing contamination and maximising recyclable materials.
• Work as part of a friendly and supportive team.

What We're Looking For

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• A positive, reliable, and proactive attitude.
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Confidence using tablets, handheld devices, and payment systems.
• Previous experience in customer service, waste management, or outdoor work is beneficial but not essential.

Hours & Flexibility

• 08:00 - 17:00 shifts
• Flexible weekly rota
• Weekday, weekend, and ad hoc shifts available
