Compliance Officer
Product Compliance Officer Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 DOE Location: Hybrid (minimum 3 days onsite) Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Product Compliance Officer to join a growing science and technology organisation operating within the healthcare and infection prevention sector. This role is ideal for a regulatory compliance professional with a strong scientific background who is looking to take ownership of product compliance across a diverse portfolio of chemical and healthcare-related products. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage product regulatory compliance activities across the business. Monitor, interpret and implement relevant regulatory requirements. Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory compliance matters with external stakeholders. Provide regulatory guidance on product development, sourcing, packaging, labelling and marketing activities. Conduct horizon scanning for upcoming regulatory changes and develop action plans accordingly. Support UK and European product registrations. Create and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and associated regulatory documentation. Build and maintain relationships with external regulatory bodies, consultants and industry networks. Deliver internal compliance training and support continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate regulatory records and contribute to quality and non-conformance processes. Requirements Essential Degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline. Minimum 3 years' experience in a regulatory compliance role. At least 2 years' experience working with chemical products and regulations, including REACH and CLP. Proven experience authoring Safety Data Sheets for formulated chemical mixtures. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. Desirable Experience with Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR), PPE, Medical Devices and/or ADR regulations. Skills & Attributes Strong written and verbal communication skills. Highly organised with excellent attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels across a business. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Commercially aware with a pragmatic approach to compliance and risk management.
