SAP Development Lead

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the SAP development workstream , including RICEFW, extensions, coding standards, code reviews, and quality.
• Drive clean-core development , leveraging in-app and side-by-side extensibility using SAP BTP, RAP, and CAP .
• Lead development across ABAP/ABAP for HANA, CDS, OData, Fiori/UI5, forms, interfaces, and enhancements .
• Translate functional requirements into technical specifications and development solutions.
• Manage developer authorisations, transports, and DevOps/CI-CD in collaboration with Basis and Technical Architecture teams.
• Ensure unit testing, code security, performance, and development quality .
• Support SIT/UAT defect resolution and technical cutover activities.
• Lead and manage development teams, including security-cleared resources working in controlled environments.

Must Have

• 10+ years of SAP Development experience , including 5+ years as a Development Lead .
• At least 2 full-lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementations with clean-core extensibility.
• Strong hands-on experience with ABAP, ABAP for HANA/RAP, CDS, OData, and Fiori/UI5 .
• Experience with SAP BTP, CAP/RAP, APIs, integrations, and side-by-side extensibility .
• Strong understanding of RICEFW, forms, interfaces, enhancements, and technical development .
• Experience with code review, security scanning, transport management, DevOps, and performance tuning .
• Experience leading development teams and governing development quality.
• Experience working in government, defence, classified, or controlled environments is highly preferred.
