Senior Manager / Manager Schade

Role purpose: Lead and optimize claims (schade) management to deliver accurate, timely, and compliant claim handling while improving customer outcomes and operational performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end claims processes, including intake, assessment, settlement, and communication with stakeholders.
• Lead, coach, and develop a claims team; set goals, monitor performance, and ensure consistent quality.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, internal policies, and service-level agreements.
• Handle complex or high-impact claims and escalations; make sound decisions based on risk, coverage, and evidence.
• Drive continuous improvement through process optimization, quality controls, and data-driven reporting.
• Collaborate with internal partners (e.g., underwriting, legal, finance, fraud, customer service) and external parties (e.g., adjusters, repair networks).
• Track KPIs, manage budgets/resources where applicable, and communicate results to leadership.

Required skills and qualifications

• Proven experience in claims management, with leadership responsibility (manager or senior manager level).
• Strong knowledge of claims handling practices, risk assessment, and customer-centric service delivery.
• Ability to manage complex cases, negotiate effectively, and resolve disputes professionally.
• Analytical mindset with experience using reporting to improve quality, speed, and cost outcomes.
