Location: Conwy Child Development Centre, Llandudno (Ysbyty Glan Clwyd)

Start Date: ASAP

Working Hours: Full-time

Contract Type: Locum (Fixed-term maternity leave cover)

Shift Pattern: Face-to-face role within standard working hours

Speciality: Paediatric Communication and Dysphagia

Job Overview

Pulse is currently seeking an experienced Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team at the Conwy Child Development Centre in Llandudno, part of Ysbyty Glan Clwyd. This locum position is a fixed-term maternity leave cover, offering a rewarding opportunity to work face-to-face with children presenting with communication and dysphagia needs.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting paediatric patients through collaborative care within a well-established MDT.

Key Responsibilities

Provide specialist assessment and intervention for children with communication and swallowing difficulties

Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support holistic care plans

Deliver face-to-face therapy sessions in a child development centre setting

Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service development

Support families and caregivers with tailored advice and resources

Requirements

Degree in Speech and Language Therapy (required)

HCPC registration (required)

Experience in paediatric communication and dysphagia

Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills

Ability to work effectively within an MDT environment
