Start Date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing Hourly Rate: £24-25 Working Hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week (part-time considered)

Job Overview

Pulse is currently seeking an experienced Band 6 Podiatrist to join Hertfordshire Community Trust on a locum basis. This is a community-focused role based in the St Albans area, offering the opportunity to work with a varied caseload, with a strong emphasis on diabetic foot care and lower limb management.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within community settings, supporting patients to manage complex conditions and improve outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality podiatry services within a community setting

Manage a caseload with a focus on diabetic foot care and complications

Carry out assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of lower limb conditions

Provide nail surgery procedures where appropriate (local anaesthesia certified)

Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support patient care

Maintain accurate clinical records using SystemOne

Support health promotion and patient education initiatives

Qualifications and Experience

HCPC registered Podiatrist

Certificate in local anaesthesia (essential)

Post-registration experience in diabetic care, ideally within NHS/community settings

Strong knowledge of lower limb complications associated with diabetes

Working knowledge of SystemOne

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential for community role)
