About the Role

Role Overview

proAV are a leading global audio visual integrator, providing AV and event services across multiple client partnerships globally.

Our immediate requirement is for an experienced Lead AV Engineer to be a key part of our Projects team, representing proAV, taking full responsibility for ensuring the on-site commissioning activities are being undertaken within the project parameters and that the site team are giving direction and drive at a technical level.

The role would be supported by the Teams’ Technical Manager who owns the technical design, and will provide clarity on the requirements and deliverables, support the off-site testing efforts as well as creating the test sheets that so often get rushed at the end of the projects.

This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional, experienced Lead AV Engineer to join an established operation with scope to drive and enhance the service at every opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

Commissioning at front end of project in preparation for deployment of technical tasks.

Taking technical architectural detail from Tech Manager and building out system configurations/ documentation in advance of Factory testing and site works incl, but not limited to

Video Set Ups

Audio Configs

Wireless Frequency Coordination

Firmware updates and testing

General equipment configuration

UI Workflow testing with system configs

AVIT schedule reviews

Creation of test plan and test sheets alongside Technical Manager.

Factory testing alongside production department.

Network VLAN / Patching testing prior to 2nd Fix activities with the AVIT team.

Leadership of commissioning engineers assigned to any given project with the Team, managing daily tasks and project milestones against the master programme.

Commissioning test sheet completion with site engineers.

Snag list management and close out ownership, following direction from Project Manager and Technical Manager.

Knowledge transfer to transition and training teams.

Personnel skills

Minimum of three years corporate experience.

Extensive knowledge of Audio-Visual systems and technologies.

Extensive knowledge in Event spaces including audio, video and lighting equipment both digital and analogue.

Ability to multitask and work under pressure to strict deadlines.

Remain client facing and calm under pressure at all times.

Have excellent communication, time management, presentation and organisational skills.

Be enthusiastic and self-motivated.

Be able to establish productive relationships with people at all levels.

Ability to use own initiative appropriately.

Customer focused and strong ability to deal with individuals on all levels in a friendly, welcoming and helpful manner.

AV knowledge, and Certifications are highly desirable in the following systems:

CTS Acrreditation (Preferable)

Crestron

AMX

DSPs Bi-Amp/Qsys/Sound Structure

Cisco and Poly VC Systems

Dante

Hours of work

40 hours per week, 9 hours a day, 8.30am-5.30pm, including an hour unpaid break, Monday-Friday.
