Site Engineer
- To assist the Project Manager/ Site Manager and ensure that the site activities are executed in accordance with specifications budget and time schedules
- Supervise and coordinate day to day site works, safety and quality control
- Monitor & coordinate the site works, materials, plant & equipment with supervisors
- Coordinate with the Sub contractor / MainCon / Consultant / Client for whatever revision on drawings & in actual construction & submit weekly site works progress report.
- Assist in planning, programming and monitoring of construction works progress
- To study tender / construction drawings, specifications and contracts to understand project requirements
- Check drawings and raise technical queries to resolve the discrepancies in between drawings and as well as those arisen during the project execution
- To ensure structural work & architectural work done according to the drawing
- To carry out short-term planning to meet site progress and involve in client/consultant/sub-contractor meetings
- Manage and ensure timely completion of construction/ civil works
- Identify and assess any foreseeable risk arising from the workplace or work processes, minimise environmental impact associated with the construction activities
- Take reasonable practical measures to eliminate any foreseeable risk to any person who is at the workplace
- Ensure safe work procedures and environmental control measures are implemented at the work site and quality records are properly maintained
- Undertake any other work duties as required by the Company
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Civil engineering or any related discipline recognized by PEB
or BCA, Architecture recognised by BOA
- Additional certificates or licenses are an added advantage
- Have the ability to work under pressure
- Able to read and understand construction drawings from all trades (e.g. archi, C&S, M&E, etc)
- Good knowledge of common civil construction materials such as asphalt, reinforced concrete, steel etc. preferred
- Ability to apply logical and critical thinking skills to projects
- Willing to learn and challenging new things and multi-tasking
- Can work independently with minimal supervision.
