What You’ll Get to Do
The Machine Operator 1 is focused on sawing, fabricating and assembling architectural aluminum products to customer specifications. Additional duties may include welding, using hand tools and packing products. This role is perfect for an individual who is very detail-oriented (quality, efficiency), a team player with a strong work ethic, and highly flexible. A vital member of the Custom Entrances Department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.
Job Responsibilities:
Sawing, fabricating and assembling architectural aluminum products with various tools and machinery
Inspecting aluminum for various quality flaws
Usage of drill guns and hand tools
Communicate well with peers and management
Read written instructions and follow verbal instructions
Multitask, prioritize and work under time constraints
What we are looking for:
Must be a team player and willing to be trained to work in other areas as assigned
Stand and walk for entire shift on concrete, up to 12 hours
Lift, push, pull or move up to 75lbs individually and 150lbs with a partner
Work in temperatures consistent with same outdoor climate conditions of the region (Heat, humidity, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret basic math measurements and effectively read a tape measure to 1/32”
Ability to use a hand pallet and/or motorized pallet jack
Must be able to work with hand power tools
Ability to work with co-workers and supervisors with good teamwork skills
Flexible to work overtime as needed
All production workers are expected to be available to work in all areas of production
High School Diploma or GED, preferred
Previous fabrication experience helpful
