Senior DevOps Engineer Platforms and Development

Nova Virtual Solutions is looking for experienced DevOps to manage our automations and platforms for our systems.

Nova Tech Solutions is looking for a creative and experienced DevOps to shape the user interfaces and experiences of our software products. In this role, you will design intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for Nova Tech Solutions’ projects, including Nova Care’s EVV system and various web and mobile applications developed for the company and its affiliated organizations. Your designs will play a crucial role in ensuring our software is easy to use and visually appealing. This position will start as remote work and later transition to on-site. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 8 years’ experience as a DevOps working with a cross functional team, a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, and at least one certification or formal training related trainings for Web Development will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure: Design and maintain AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFront), implement IaC with Terraform/CloudFormation, manage multi-region deployments.

WordPress/CMS: Manage WordPress sites, optimize performance with caching (Redis/Varnish), handle CMS migrations, implement security hardening.

DevOps: Build CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments and infrastructure, implement disaster recovery procedures.

Monitoring: Setup monitoring/alerting (CloudWatch/DataDog), optimize performance, conduct security audits, manage AWS costs.

Technical Requirements

WordPress production experience (sites, monthly visitors)

AWS experience (EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFront, VPC, IAM)

Experience with CMS platforms (Drupal, Joomla, Magento, etc.)

Linux administration, web servers (Nginx/Apache), PHP-FPM, MySQL

Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation)

CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline)

Scripting (Bash, Python, PHP)

Security tools (WAF, WordPress security, SSL/TLS)

Container technologies (Docker)

Additional Qualifications and Certifications:

AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)

Kubernetes/EKS experience

Enterprise CMS experience
