Our current needs
We are scaling our activities alongside our quantum processors. Our team thrives on creativity and innovation, constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible in quantum hardware design. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electromagnetic Designerto join our Design team and contribute to the development of the next generation of high-performance quantum processors.
Working in close collaboration with experts at Nord Quantique, the chosen candidate will:
- Provide theoretical insights into quantum device design to enhance coherence properties.
- Optimize electromagnetic structures to improve superconducting quantum processor performance.
- Conduct finite-element and circuit simulations for design validation and refinement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate optimized EM components into quantum systems.
- Analyze loss mechanisms and material properties affecting superconducting circuits.
The selected candidate will operate within a highly dynamic environment and will be an essential member of the Design team, directly contributing to the advancement of our technology at its physical core.
**Education and experience requirements *:**
- PhD or equivalent industry experience in physics, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in circuit Quantum ElectroDynamics (cQED) and superconducting microwave simulations.
- Industry experience with a proven track record in interdisciplinary R&D teams.

Sought expertise and knowledge:
- Deep understanding of electromagnetic design principles and their impact on quantum coherence.
- Experience with electromagnetic simulation software such as Ansys HFSS, COMSOL, PALACE, or similar.
- Proficiency in quantum device modeling and circuit simulation tools.
- Expertise in loss mechanisms and material properties in superconducting devices.
- Understanding of advanced quantum hardware architectures and error mitigation strategies.
