*Overview* Neversink Floatation Canada is seeking a skilled and precise HDPE Welder / Manufacturing Technician to join our fast-paced production team. We specialize in building high-end, heavy-duty marine floatation systems. This role is strictly hands-on and essential to our manufacturing process, ensuring our floats are watertight, durable, and built to exact specifications. The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical aptitude, creative problem-solving skills, and the organizational drive to manage workflow and maintain highly efficient operations within our facility.

*Duties*

• Execute high-quality HDPE extrusion welding and plastic fabrication for custom and standard marine floatation systems.
• Take production orders, assist with scheduling workflows, and effectively prioritize daily tasks to ensure deadlines are met without compromising quality.
• Safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts (including hydrostatic models), and other heavy machinery to maneuver large styrofoam billets, heavy materials, and finished goods around the shop and yard.
• Maintain a meticulously clean, highly organized, and efficient shop floor at all times, adhering strictly to safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
• Assist in the precise cutting and assembly of styrofoam buoyancy blocks and HDPE encasements.
• Perform rigorous routine inspections and quality checks to ensure all welds and finished products meet strict marine-grade specifications.
• Support shop maintenance activities, troubleshoot equipment issues, and collaborate closely with the rest of the crew to hit production targets.

*Qualifications*

• *Mandatory:* Valid driver?s license and reliable personal transportation.
• Strong capability for creative problem-solving, with the ability to think on your feet when tackling custom fabrication or mechanical challenges.
• Prior experience in HDPE extrusion welding, plastic fabrication, or similar technical manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
• Experience operating overhead cranes and heavy machinery is highly desirable; current certification is a strong plus.
• High standard of accountability with a sharp attention to detail?our products go into unforgiving marine environments, so quality control is zero-compromise.
• Proven ability to take initiative in organizing workspaces, prioritizing tasks, and keeping production running smoothly.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively alongside a crew, maintaining professionalism and pulling your own weight on the floor.
