Who are we hiring?  

The Staff Accountant supports MSGE Corporate Accounting in day-to-day operations, as well as monthly and quarterly accounting close. This position provides on-going financial support to various corporate departments. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for completing journal entries, account reconciliations, and support for the Corporate Accounting team.

What will you do?  

Responsible for the timely coordination and/or preparation of monthly close deliverables including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for cash, debt, fixed assets and other operating expenses.

Prepare company-wide expense allocations

Issue monthly results report for various Corporate Departments

Collaborate with Internal and External Auditors on requests

Preparation of quarterly tax deliverables

Assist/recommend/improve reports and financial systems to enhance accuracy and timeliness of reporting.

Support Corporate Accounting group day-to-day activities. Complete special projects in an accurate and timely manner, as assigned.

Liaise with various company departments including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, Tax, External Reporting, Financial Planning & Analysis to assist on cross functional work products

Provide exceptional experiences for our guests, partners, and team members, including by adhering to our appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site.

What do you need to succeed?   

BS or BA preferred - degree in Accounting or Finance

2+ years of relevant experience with Corporate Controllership or Accounting functions

Strong spreadsheet skills (Excel), as well as strong writing and communication skills

Experience in Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP preferred

Strong understanding of monthly close process

Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and challenging environment

Ability to interact with cross functional groups

Heavy exposure to financial statements, account analyses and reconciliations

Ability to be flexible, work under pressure and meet deadlines

Willingness to work overtime as needed

Ability to evaluate processes and recommend/implement more efficient practices and procedures

Big 4 public accounting experience preferred

CPA completion or in progress preferred

Pay Range $57,000 — $80,000 USD
