Company Description Missions 1 is a missions support organization that uses storytelling tools to highlight the work of missionaries and the impact of their efforts. By sharing these stories, Missions 1 aims to inform and inspire Christians to provide financial, material, and spiritual support to missions work. This support is focused on improving the effectiveness and efficiency of missions activities. In turn, the organization’s efforts contribute to better livelihoods for underprivileged and neglected communities where missionaries serve. Missions 1 offers a purpose-driven environment for individuals seeking to support faith-based initiatives and community development. Role Description The Associate Project Officer is a full-time, hybrid role based in Nigeria, with a mix of on-site work and some flexibility to work from home. The individual in this role will support the planning, coordination, and monitoring of missions-related projects, ensuring activities are executed on schedule and within scope. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with project documentation, maintaining project records, tracking progress against milestones, and preparing regular status updates and reports. The Associate Project Officer will collaborate with internal teams, missionaries, and external partners to gather information, clarify requirements, and support smooth project communication. The role may also involve helping organize events or outreach activities, contributing to storytelling efforts, and identifying opportunities to improve project processes and impact. Qualifications

Demonstrated project coordination or project administration skills, including planning, scheduling, and basic monitoring and evaluation. Strong organizational and documentation abilities, with attention to detail in maintaining records, reports, and data. Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams, missionaries, and partners. Comfort with using productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., spreadsheets, project management software, online communication platforms). Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a hybrid work setting, balancing on-site and remote responsibilities. Interest in or commitment to missions work, community development, or faith-based initiatives, with cultural sensitivity toward underprivileged communities. Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Prior experience in non-profit, NGO, or missions-related work is an advantage but not mandatory.
