We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our client’s team, providing production support and development in a critical post-trade investment services environment.

Daily tasks

• Deliver reliable production support during UK business hours, ensuring service availability per SLAs.
• Diagnose and resolve incidents and problems, managing support tickets and prioritising backlog items.
• Perform BAU operational activities: data archiving, role swaps, backup/restore, security reviews, audits and upgrades.
• Contribute to Agile delivery: requirements gathering, technical design, development, testing and deployment.
• Create and maintain technical documentation aligned with standards and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with global teams and business stakeholders to ensure effective issue resolution and continuous improvements.

Requirements

Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.

Proven background in application support and/or software development within corporate or global environments.

Solid hands-on experience with IBM iSeries and ILE RPG ; knowledge of SQLRPG / RPG Free Format / API integration is a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure.

Familiarity with Agile and DevOps principles .

Fluent English (written and spoken), great communication skills for working with global teams.

Knowledge of wealth management or banking processes is a plus.
