Daily tasks

• Own and maintain the Performance & Non-Functional Testing strategy for the programme.
• Define and execute comprehensive test strategies covering load, stress, failover, HA, and disaster recovery testing scenarios.
• Collaborate closely with Scrum teams, Architects, DevOps, and support engineers to embed performance requirements in delivery pipelines.
• Select appropriate tooling (e.g., JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, NeoLoad) and define long-term strategy for environments and resources.
• Oversee test execution, monitoring, and reporting; provide dashboards, KPIs, and clear risk-based assessments.
• Analyse application performance using profilers, logs, and system metrics; identify bottlenecks and drive remediation plans.
• Ensure integration of test results into CI/CD pipelines and reporting frameworks.
• Lead and mentor Performance Testing engineers, fostering a quality-first culture.
• Produce clear documentation and reports for stakeholders, demonstrating system readiness and compliance.
• Develop performance testing scripts and automation using Python, Java, Scala or similar technologies.
• Design and execute performance tests for APIs, containers, serverless applications, message queues and database platforms.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to incorporate Infrastructure-as-Code practices into performance testing environments.

Requirements

Proven expertise in Performance & Non-Functional Testing for enterprise-level systems, including load, stress, failover, HA, disaster recovery testing.

Strong hands-on experience with performance test tools (JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, NeoLoad or similar).

Practical knowledge of cloud-based environments (Google Cloud Platform highly desirable).

Experience defining end-to-end testing strategies , selecting tooling, and driving governance across large programmes.

Strong scripting/coding skills (Python, Java, Scala) and ability to test APIs, containers, serverless, message queues, and GDBMS platforms.

Familiarity with CI/CD, observability tooling (e.g., AppDynamics, Datadog), and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts.

Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Experience delivering solutions in both Agile and Waterfall delivery models.

Nice to Have

Exposure to Identity & Access Management (IAM) platforms.

Experience with GCP, Kubernetes, SaaS performance testing , and DevSecOps approaches.

Familiarity with GitOps, policy-as-code, and advanced monitoring solutions.
