Audit Manager Special Assurance Services

Role purpose: Lead and deliver special assurance engagements, providing independent, risk-focused assurance and advisory support to strengthen governance, controls, and compliance.

Core responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and execute special assurance reviews (e.g., regulatory, operational, financial reporting, controls, and compliance-focused engagements).
• Develop engagement scope, risk assessments, testing strategies, and work programs aligned to relevant standards and organizational policies.
• Lead fieldwork, supervise staff, review workpapers, and ensure high-quality documentation and evidence.
• Identify control gaps, root causes, and improvement opportunities; translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Draft and present reports to senior stakeholders; communicate issues, impacts, and remediation priorities.
• Partner with business leaders to track remediation, validate corrective actions, and support continuous improvement.
• Maintain engagement timelines, budgets, and resource plans; manage multiple concurrent assignments.

Required skills and qualifications

• Proven experience managing assurance, audit, or risk engagements, including stakeholder-facing reporting.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, risk management, compliance, and assurance methodologies.
• Ability to lead teams, coach staff, and perform quality reviews.
