Lifting Appointed Person

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lifting Appointed Person to join our dynamic team on a prestigious high-speed rail project in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all lifting operations, ensuring safety compliance, and coordinating with site teams to guarantee efficient and risk-free lifting activities.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, supervise, and authorize all lifting operations on site in adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and method statements for lifting activities.
• Inspect lifting equipment and certify its suitability for use before operations commence.
• Coordinate with riggers, crane operators, and site managers to ensure smooth execution of lifting tasks.
• Maintain detailed records of lifting operations and generate regular safety reports.
• Provide training and guidance to lifting teams to promote safe working practices.
• Act as the main point of contact for lifting-related incidents and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Ensure compliance with UAE health and safety laws and international best practices related to lifting operations.
• Proven experience as a Lifting Appointed Person in large-scale construction projects, preferably within high-speed rail or infrastructure sectors.
• Certified competence in lifting operations and relevant safety training qualifications.
• Strong knowledge of lifting equipment, rigging practices, and relevant safety standards.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple activities under pressure.
• Proficient in preparing risk assessments, method statements, and safety documentation.
• Effective communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively within diverse teams and multicultural environments.
• Willingness to relocate and work on-site in Abu Dhabi for the project duration.
