Job Description
The Project Engineer II is responsible for planning, implementing, and delivering technology solutions that meet client requirements while ensuring high-quality project execution. This role independently manages standard infrastructure projects, collaborates with internal teams and clients, and produces accurate project documentation to support long-term operational success. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused mindset.
Job Responsibilities
Lead the implementation of client technology projects while meeting project scope, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot infrastructure technologies including servers, networking, cloud platforms, firewalls, wireless solutions, and endpoint management systems.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients throughout project planning, implementation, and handoff.
Produce accurate implementation notes, as-built documentation, and knowledge base articles.
Identify process improvements and recommend updates to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and knowledge base documentation.
Proactively identify technical risks and resolve implementation issues to ensure project success.
Provide technical guidance during project execution and share knowledge with peers.
Ensure completed solutions meet client expectations and support long-term operational stability.
Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications
3–5 years of experience implementing and supporting IT infrastructure projects.
Experience working with distributed or remote teams.
Hands-on experience deploying and troubleshooting servers, networking, cloud platforms, endpoints, and infrastructure technologies.
Ability to work in a fast-paced consulting or project-based environment.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.

Windows Server deployment and administration

Preferred Qualifications
Experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP).
Experience using PSA platforms such as ConnectWise.
Experience with RMM platforms such as ConnectWise Automate or Kaseya.
Experience supporting multiple client environments.

Microsoft 365 Administrator (MS-102)
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE 4) or equivalent

Job KPI’s
Billable Utilization: The percentage of time spent on billable client project work while maintaining accurate time entries.
Project Delivery: Successful completion of assigned projects within agreed timelines, scope, and quality standards.
Documentation Quality: Accuracy and completeness of implementation notes, as-built documentation, and knowledge base updates for completed projects.
Client Satisfaction (CSAT): Feedback provided by clients through post-project or service satisfaction surveys.
Timesheet Compliance: Timely and accurate submission of timesheets in accordance with company standards.
Job Requirements
A home office set up that meets the following:
Computer: A working computer with a minimum of 8GB RAM and one of the following:
Windows 11 with an Intel i5 or i7 (8th generation or newer), or
AMD Ryzen 5 or 7 (2000 series or newer), or
macOS 12 or newer.
Internet: Stable internet connection with at least 5 Mbps download and upload speeds.
Audio Equipment: A quality headset with a noise-cancellation feature for meetings.
Mobile Device: A smartphone capable of installing the Microsoft Authenticator app.
Webcam: An HD webcam for video calls.
2nd Monitor
UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) if using a desktop (Not needed if using a laptop)

Excellent command of the English language both spoken and written
Able to work full time for 40 hrs. a week: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST (Monday to Friday)
Able to pass our online behavior and cognitive assessments.
Preferably, at least two of the following certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, 3cx Basic Certified Engineer.
Able to provide NBI Clearance (for PH applicants).
Compensation
Pay rates start at $18.28/hour and vary by experience and location.
