Job Summary

We are seeking two responsible and professional Chinese-English Translators / Interpreters to support communication between Chinese-speaking management and local employees, suppliers, customers and business partners. The successful candidates will provide accurate oral interpretation and written translation in office, factory and business settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clear and accurate interpretation between Chinese and English during meetings, factory operations, training sessions and daily workplace communication.

• Translate documents, notices, reports, work instructions, emails and other business materials between Chinese and English.

• Assist Chinese-speaking managers in communicating with local staff, suppliers, customers and government or service organizations when required.

• Support production, administration, human resources, sales and logistics teams with language coordination.

• Maintain the meaning, tone and confidentiality of all translated information.

• Prepare accurate bilingual records and follow up on communication tasks.

• Help explain company procedures, safety instructions and operational requirements to employees.

• Identify misunderstandings promptly and clarify information with the relevant parties.

• Perform other translation and administrative duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Chinese, Translation, Languages, Business Administration or a related field is preferred.

• Strong spoken and written Chinese and English are essential.

• At least one year of translation, interpretation or bilingual workplace experience is preferred.

• Able to interpret confidently in meetings and practical factory situations.

• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Strong communication, listening and interpersonal skills.

• Accurate, responsible, patient, discreet and well organized.

• Able to work under pressure and handle confidential company information.

• Willing to work full time in Kampala and in a factory environment.
