Senior Process Engineer (Metrology / Photonics)
Responsibilities Own precision metrology equipment, including CNC SmartScope and contact/non-contact profilers, from recipe setup to inspection and data analysis. Perform dimensional and profile inspection of micro-optics, including singlet lenses, lens arrays, and wafer-level structures. Develop and analyze datasets for 3D printing, lens-profile modeling, and process optimization using SolidWorks, Python, and/or MATLAB. Develop data-processing, image-processing, and automation solutions to support R&D and manufacturing. Own polymer printing/imprinting processes for singlet, array, and wafer-level lenses. Develop and optimize 2PP and CNC-based step-and-repeat processes, including alignment, dispensing, printing, and inspection recipes. Characterize materials and processes, troubleshoot issues, and improve precision, stability, and yield. Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and implement advanced micro-optics processes and technologies. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Optics, or a related field. Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in Metrology, Optics Photonics industry Familiarity with at least one area: metrology, data analysis, molding, MEMS, material characterization, or process optimization. Programming skills in Python, MATLAB, Excel/VBA, or similar tools are strongly preferred. Strong interest and capability in data analysis, mathematics, computing, and engineering problem-solving. Knowledge of polymers, curing, precision machining, dispensing, SPC/DOE, or micro-optics is a strong advantage. Proactive, analytical, adaptable, and detail-oriented, with strong observation and troubleshooting skills. Strong R&D mindset with good communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
