Financieel Adviseur Ruimte

Role purpose: Provide financial advisory support for spatial planning and public-space programs, ensuring budgets, forecasts, and financial governance enable effective policy and project delivery.

Core responsibilities

• Advise management and project leaders on budgets, financial scenarios, and funding options for spatial initiatives.
• Develop, monitor, and adjust budgets, forecasts, and multi-year financial plans.
• Support business cases, investment proposals, and cost-benefit analyses for area development and infrastructure projects.
• Track financial performance, explain variances, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, internal controls, and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate periodic financial reporting and contribute to planning & control cycles.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across policy, project teams, procurement, and finance.

Required skills

• Financial expertise: budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and public-sector or project finance.
• Analytical ability: scenario modeling, risk assessment, and clear interpretation of data.
• Advisory skills: proactive stakeholder management and decision-support communication.
• Accuracy & governance: strong attention to detail and understanding of compliance/controls.
• Tools: strong Excel skills; experience with ERP/financial systems and BI reporting is a plus.
