Senior HSE Advisor

Responsibilities:

• Provide senior-level HSE advisory and supervisory support to operational teams, contractors and worksite personnel to ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
• Conduct and review risk assessments, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), toolbox talks, safety inspections and Permit-to-Work (PTW) compliance.
• Coordinate HSE surveillance activities during maintenance, construction, shutdowns and other operational activities.
• Investigate incidents, near misses and unsafe acts, recommend corrective actions and monitor their effective implementation.
• Monitor environmental management, occupational health, waste management, emergency preparedness and compliance with applicable HSE standards.
• Mentor and supervise HSE Advisors, coordinate safety meetings and campaigns, and prepare periodic HSE performance reports.

Requirements:

• B.Sc./B.Eng. in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Occupational Health and Safety or other relevant Science discipline.
• Minimum of six (6) to nine (9) years’ relevant HSE experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
• Relevant professional HSE certification such as NEBOSH, ISPON or equivalent.
• Additional training in Risk Assessment, Incident Investigation, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and Emergency Response will be an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience in HSE supervision, safety inspections, incident investigations, and contractor HSE management.
• Strong leadership, analytical, reporting, and communication skills.

Remuneration: NGN 600,000 - 750,000 Monthly
