Fab Rite Services LP is looking to add to our growing field crew..
*Position:* Pipefitter- Journeyman *Department:* Field *Reports To:* Field Superintendent *Employment Type:* Full-Time
Responsible for welding, fitting, assembling, and fabricating pipe and related components according to drawings, specifications, welding procedures, and quality standards.
The successful candidate will be able to interpret fabrication drawings, prepare and fit components accurately, perform quality welds using appropriate welding processes, and work safely and efficiently in a production environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESWelding & Fabrication
- Perform pipe welding using applicable welding processes, including *MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding*, as required.
- Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and other materials according to job requirements.
- Fit, tack, and weld pipe, fittings, flanges, supports, and related components.
- Prepare pipe and components for welding, including cutting, beveling, grinding, cleaning, and alignment.
- Complete welds in various positions and on different pipe sizes and configurations.
- Follow approved welding procedures, specifications, and weld symbols.
- Make adjustments to welding parameters as required for material thickness, position, and joint configuration.
Quality Control
- Inspect completed welds for defects, including cracks, porosity, undercut, incomplete fusion, and other imperfections.
- Perform visual inspections and make necessary repairs or corrections.
- Ensure completed work meets company, customer, and applicable industry standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and inspection records where required.
- Take responsibility for the quality of completed work.
- Follow all safety policies and safe work practices.
