M&E Coordinator
Job Summary
Support project execution by managing contract requirements, coordinating site activities, ensuring quality and compliance, and facilitating communication among stakeholders to deliver successful M&E and construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Interpret contract requirements and M&E specifications to monitor project progress and ensure compliance
- Coordinate site activities with consultants, builders, and contractors to maintain smooth operations
- Inspect workmanship to verify it meets project standards and quality requirements
- Collaborate with support teams to facilitate timely and efficient project delivery
- Lead project meetings with stakeholders to communicate progress and resolve operational issues
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and prepare management reports
- Prepare and submit project, as-built, and related drawings to clients accurately and on time
- Oversee site adherence to safety and regulatory standards to ensure a safe working environment
- Conduct testing and commissioning activities to validate project completion and functionality
- Evaluate and select qualified suppliers and subcontractors based on project needs and criteria
- Negotiate pricing and contractual terms with consultants, suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to optimize project costs
- Measure completed work accurately to support periodic progress payments and client billings
- Resolve project issues through negotiation during execution phases to maintain project scope and schedule
- Advise on contractual claims to effectively manage project scope and risks
- Assist in preparing tender and contract documentation to support procurement processes
- Perform ad hoc assignments as required to support overall project objectives and deadlines
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent with 2 years relevant experience, preferably in construction-related projects
- Knowledge of Quantity Surveying or Structural Engineering concepts
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders
- Willingness to work beyond normal hours and travel to work sites as project demands require
- Ability to commence work on short notice to meet project timelines
