Electrical & Control Engineer – Commissioning

Location: Batam

PT Enercon Power Indonesia is looking for an Electrical & Control Engineer – Commissioning to support our ongoing project activities in Batam.

This position is suitable for candidates with a strong basic understanding of electrical and control systems who are interested in developing their career in testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Support testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities for electrical control panels and related systems.
• Perform wiring verification, continuity checks, point-to-point checks, and I/O testing.
• Support functional testing of control panels, PLC systems, HMI, relays, and related control equipment.
• Read and understand electrical drawings such as:
• Single Line Diagram (SLD)
• Electrical Schematic / Wiring Diagram
• Control Diagram
• P&ID
• Assist in troubleshooting electrical, control, and communication-related issues during commissioning.
• Perform field signal verification between control panels and related equipment.
• Support preparation of commissioning records, test sheets, punch lists, and technical reports.
• Coordinate with Commissioning Engineers, Project Engineers, customers, and other project parties during site activities.
• Follow project safety procedures and commissioning requirements.
• Participate in internal technical training related to Enercon control systems and commissioning procedures.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Control, Automation, Mechatronics, or related engineering discipline.
• Fresh graduates with strong technical fundamentals are welcome to apply. Candidates with 1–3 years of relevant experience will be preferred.
• Good basic understanding of electrical control systems, control wiring, relays, contactors, and PLC systems.
• Able to read and understand electrical schematic and wiring diagrams.
• Basic knowledge of PLC, HMI, industrial communication, or instrumentation is an advantage.
• Able to use basic electrical testing equipment such as a multimeter.
• Good troubleshooting and analytical mindset.
• Able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Comfortable working in a project-site and commissioning environment.
• Willing to be based in Batam.
• Able to join immediately / at short notice.
• Willing to work flexible hours when required during critical commissioning activities.
