Quality Engineer
role overview
We are looking for a quality engineer with solid hands-on experience across manual, automation, mobile, and API testing. You'll play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our web and mobile products, working closely with developers and product teams in an Agile environment.
Manual testing
Analyse business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Design and execute test plans, test cases, and scenarios
Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and UAT testing
Log, track, and manage defects through to resolution in JIRA
Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure timely issue resolution
Automation testing
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks
Execute automated regression suites integrated with CI/CD pipelines
Improve automation coverage and optimize test execution time
Participate in framework enhancements and code reviews
Mobile testing
Test Android and iOS applications across multiple devices and OS versions
Validate UI/UX consistency, responsiveness, and usability
Cover compatibility, installation, interruption, and network scenarios
API testing
Validate REST/SOAP APIs covering requests, responses, schema, and error handling
Test authentication, authorization, and API security
Automate API test cases and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines
Accessibility testing
Evaluate interfaces against WCAG 2.1 AA standards
Use tools such as Axe or Lighthouse to identify accessibility gaps
Collaborate with designers and developers on remediation
Requirements
3+ years of experience in QE / software testing
Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across business and development teams
Hands-on experience in web, mobile, and API testing
Experience with API testing tools such as Postman
Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress — openness to learning is acceptable
Familiarity with mobile automation tools such as Appium is a plus
Basic knowledge of Java or JavaScript
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions is a plus
Familiarity with WCAG 2.1 accessibility guidelines and tools such as Axe or Lighthouse is a plus
Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA
