ABOUT THE ROLE…
Digimarc is seeking a Account Director, Retail Loss Prevention . This is a senior, quota-carrying role responsible for driving complex enterprise sales.
Success in this position requires the ability to build and orchestrate a multi-sided market — bringing together retailers, brands, aggregators, and manufacturing partners to enable a new industry standard for secure gift cards.
You will own a portfolio of strategic opportunities and be responsible for creating demand, aligning stakeholders, and driving deals to close —often where no formal buying process yet exists. This role requires both commercial execution and ecosystem leadership, with a focus on turning early interest into scaled, repeatable deployments.
This role requires up to 50% travel.
WHAT YOU WILL DO…
Ecosystem Selling & Deal Creation
Identify and develop opportunities across retailers, brands, and aggregators (InComm, Blackhawk)
Drive opportunites from early engagement through launch and commercial agreement.
Own close plans across multiple stakeholders.
Align supply (brands) with distribution (retailers) based on hardware compatibility and readiness
Drive complex, multi-party deals from concept through execution
Revenue Ownership
Own pipeline creation, progression, and close
Driving deal velocity across complex, multi-party sales cycles
Develop account strategies and mutual action plans
Being accountable for revenue outcomes
Relationship Ownership
Build executive relationships and accountable for advancing deals through these relationships across:
Retail (merchandising, payments, store ops)
Brands (gift card / payments / marketing)
Aggregators and program managers
Gift card manufacturers (printers)
Become a trusted advisor on fraud prevention and gift card strategy
Market Development
Help define how this category is sold, packaged, and scaled
Participate in industry events (InComm Summit, BHN, RILA, etc.)
Printer & Manufacturing Alignment
Build relationships with certified printers (ie: CPI, Diamond, WestRock, Travel Tags) as supporting deal execution and readiness for opportunities in motion.
Ensure:
Competitive pricing
Smooth onboarding of new programs
Strong partner alignment and advocacy
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR…
8–12+ years in enterprise sales, partnerships, or market development
Proven ability to close complex, multi-stakeholder deals
Experience in:
Retail ecosystem, payments, gift cards, or fraud prevention
Proven ability to:
Navigate multi-stakeholder, ambiguous sales environments
Influence without authority across organizations
Strong executive presence and storytelling ability
Builder mindset—comfortable creating structure where none exists

New retailers onboarded and actively piloting Digimarc
Brands converting to Digimarc-enabled card specifications
Strong alignment across aggregators, printers, and partners

Compensation:
$150,000 - $175,000 with a total comp target of $248,000-$310,000 .
This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill set, experience, training, licensure, certifications, geography and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
