Staff Fullstack Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a staff-level engineering role at an AI-native fintech SaaS company building modern Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) software for finance teams. You'll partner closely with executive leadership to shape platform architecture from an early stage, with significant influence over technical direction and engineering culture.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Collaborate with leadership and teammates to prioritize and execute on the product roadmap.
• Design, develop, and own complex features and software components end-to-end.
• Deliver robust, scalable, and well-tested code across the full stack.
• Establish engineering best practices that lay the foundation for a high-performing, growing team.
• Partner with Design and Operations teams to continuously improve the product.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 8+ years of software development experience, with 3+ years contributing to system design or architecture.
• Strong full-stack proficiency using TypeScript/JavaScript on the frontend and Node.js on the backend.
• Solid experience with React; well-balanced full-stack or frontend-leaning engineers are a strong fit.
• Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery — able to architect, deploy, and operate scalable cloud services.
• Experience modeling, querying, and optimizing MongoDB schemas for performance at scale.
• Strong testing discipline across unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Proven track record leading platform architecture decisions, setting technical direction, and mentoring engineers.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a fully distributed, remote team across the US, Canada, and LATAM.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Salary range: $185,000 – $240,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

Fully remote. Open to candidates based in the United States, Canada, and LATAM. Primary hiring location is Canada.
