Arborist

Job Overview

An Arborist executes tree care management programmes for trees and palms. He/She conducts tree inspection and risk assessment and prescribes remedies for tree health problems. He/She assist in the preparation of tree assessment reports to management for decision-making. The Arborist enjoys the great outdoors, being in nature and is passionate about tree protection and conservation. He/She must be willing to work beyond official hours to respond to tree emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of a comprehensive Tree Assessment Report.

Attend to urgent and emergency tree matters after working hours.

Conduct tree inspection and prescribe remedies for tree health problems.

Able to carry out secondary inspection and the knowledge of tools such as resistographer, PICUS and generating reports and the recommendations

Implement tree pruning and maintenance programme with term contractors and supervisors.

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on arboriculture matters.

Supervise staff to ensure correct tree pruning and cutting methods are being applied.

Qualifications:

English speaking Certified Arborist

ISA Certified arborist with 5 years of related field work

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Others or equivalent.

As and when necessary, to be able to work on weekends and Public holidays.
