ENGINEER
Job Description
Assist engineers in carrying out calibration and testing of measuring instruments at the laboratory and customer sites.
Perform routine calibration activities for mechanical, temperature, electrical, dimensional and other relevant instruments under supervision.
Assist with installation, commissioning, servicing and troubleshooting of instruments and equipment.
Support on-site technical works at customer facilities, construction sites, industrial plants and other locations.
Record calibration results, equipment readings and job information accurately.
Assist in preparing calibration reports, certificates, service reports and other technical documentation.
Conduct basic inspection and functional checks of instruments before and after calibration or repair.
Assist with equipment setup, dismantling, transportation and handling during site jobs.
Ensure all reference standards, measuring equipment and tools are properly handled and maintained.
Follow established ISO/IEC 17025, quality, safety and work procedures applicable to assigned activities.
Identify equipment abnormalities or technical issues and report them to the Engineer or Engineering Manager.
Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure tools and equipment are kept in good working condition.
Comply with all company WSH and safety requirements when performing laboratory and site activities.
Perform other engineering and technical duties assigned by the management.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of measuring instruments, calibration or industrial equipment will be an advantage.
- Good mathematical and analytical skills.
- Able to read and understand basic technical drawings, specifications and equipment manuals.
- Willing to perform on-site work and travel to customer locations when required.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
